Medical Acupuncture
Medical acupuncture is a therapeutic method where fine sterile needles are inserted into specific anatomical points. Insertion points are based on your symptoms presentation, and can promote blood flow, and therefore healing, while also causing neuromodulation leading to a decrease in pain through regulation of the body’s nervous system.
Acupuncture has been proven to be beneficial in the treatment of many conditions (acute and chronic) including joint pain, back pain, migraines and headaches, and many others due to its relaxing effects on muscles, its ability to reduce pain and improve function of affected areas in the body.
Acupuncture is a safe, gentle and relatively painless treatment option that it is often used as a beneficial adjunct to chiropractic treatment.
